My husband, Norman, and I lived in a small cabin at the lake. When we moved there, we took our cat, Tiger, with us. I was still working at the time and the long drive to and from work became too much for me. I was forced to move back to town. Norman opted to remain out at the lake, and so did Tiger. I spent the weekends with them.
My husband wasn't well, and he worried about what would happen to Tiger should he not be there to care for him anymore. Tiger would never have survived in town. He was too much of a country cat. He and Norman had become very close. Tiger slept in the cabin every night and the two of them took a walk every evening down to the dock.
But Norman's health was failing, and he knew it. He became more concerned about the cat, and I think Tiger realized that. One evening Tiger was nowhere to be found. Norman called him repeatedly and even walked down to the lake in search of him. He couldn't find him. He found his cat the next morning. Tiger was lying beneath the car. He was dead. It appeared he had died peacefully in his sleep.
A week later, Norman also passed away peacefully in his sleep. I'm certain Tiger knew what was about to happen, and did the only thing he could to ease my husband's worries. He was a very wise old cat. In fact, I sometimes feel he watches over me still.
Another example of psi ability in animals is the case of the rats that desert a sinking ship. Animals also seem to know when some natural disaster approaches, such as an earthquake, tornado or volcanic eruption. Zoo animals pace their cages, dogs bark and howl, and cattle stampede or huddle together in fence corners.
Birds must have some psychic ability that enables them to complete the long migration twice a year, always returning to the same place. We had two pelicans that always spent the summers at our lake. I know they were the same pair, as
