Of course, I'm also an early riser so many days a good bit of my work is done before they even wake up! SQ: What advice can you give aspiring authors and writers? SM: Write and study the craft. My career blossomed after I read Dwight Swain's Techniques of the Selling Writer. So I made a point to read one 'how-to' book a month for a year. The next year I made a promise to myself to attend one online workshop a month on crafting. That worked so well that I've been doing it for the past three years. You can never know too much. And you also never know when the tip you get at a workshop will be the one to put you over the top!
