| Hello everyone, I'm back! I'd like to apologize for my absence in recent
months but I'm back now and this topic is broadening its' range. I will
be covering web page design in general. What I would like to see in the
future is suggestions from readers as to what you would like to see in these
articles. After all, this is for the benefit of the "surfing" public. So,
with that out of the way, this months topic is typography within web design.
I will admit, I am addicted to fonts! I have more fonts than I'll ever need
but still continue to collect more. I will also admit that quite a few of
the fonts I have collected are mere "eye candy", pretty to look at but worthless
to use in web page design. Something to always keep in mind when designing
a web site is using fonts that everyone can see. Your favorite, obscure
font may not be on the majority of your viewers PCs. Therefore, that great
site you had going with the perfect typeface, is viewed by you and five
others. It is a good habit to get into to use one of three fonts: Times
New Roman, Arial or Courier. All PCs come bundled with these fonts, so everyone
will be able to view them(Arial converts to Helvetica for MAC users). Below
you will find some links that will dive deeper into the subject at hand
and provide a more thorough explanation of type for the web. |

who created the logo(hence type) for Rolling Stone Magazine and many other
major print publications. Definitely worth a visit.) |
| So until next month folks, remember clouds are our friends! |
