Life is too Serious... Part2

Well that Hank is busy, you will easily get an impression of when you have a look at his main site Freebyte!" - you will be busy just going through it ((-:

For the new version, I will of course let you know here when it's ready - or you can subscribe to his newsletter and join us other that will be the first to know...

Even with new features, I will still keep my archive part in plain text to reduce the size of my archive files (for this part of my Treepad use at least). The program have a good backup feature (extremely important!), and I use to zip the archive file I have on the main computer about every day - put it on a floppy or send it by mail to the operation department and accounting department.

All the time I have used Treepad as my main archive for bookings, proves to me that the program is very stable (in short a well written program, far more stable than the OS it's operate from!). Any minus? Well you can not buy it, if you consider that a minus?

Find a screenshot of Treepad here.

ECLEANER

Using a system which is based upon copying email into a archive program will leave you with many emails with a lot of broken sentences, all pestered ">" marks in answered parts and so forth. Two weeks ago I downloaded a program I was thinking would be useful, as it clean up your email copies. Take away those ">" marks - mend the broken sentences and more. And yes it was useful, so I was getting ready to pay the registration when suddenly a link lead me to this page...

Here I found eCleaner, and not only eCleaner but even a new version just released! It's smaller in size than the first program I tested, but as far as I can see - it does exactly the same. Well in fact something more, because if I have a HTML mail I want to save in my Treepad archive as plain text - eCleaner also remove all HTML tags so I can paste in a "clean" mail! In short, the best email cleaner program I found - and thanks to Steve Chin as he saved me the dollars the other program cost. In other words, eCleaner is not only better - it's free.
