So he did, and now it's here - the first separate mail archiving and organiser program (worth mentioning). Eric have called it Mailbag Assistant.

The first version just is released, can open mailboxes from Pegasus, Outlook Express 4, Netscape Messenger and Eudora in any mode. Further Mailbag Assistant work with FoxMail, The Bat, Calypso and Agent (these last four clients currently only if the mail is saved as text files). Additional support for other E-mail programs is planned for upcoming versions.

I will come back more to Mailbag Assistant in an later article, but let me stress the fact that this program has real power features. One part is the search ability, other is how it extract information, give you statistics or sort your email traffic in following options: "Who" - "Address" - "Domain" - "Super Domain" - "Date by Day" - "Date by Week" - "Date by Month" or "Date by Year".

WINLINUX 2000

Do you belong to those of us who think that "one day I will change from my Window platform to Linux". Still you feel that you have not got the time, or feel that you are not yet ready for the change?

Yes we can install a Linux platform on the same computer as we have Windows on, but then it's the hassle of partitioning the hard disk again - and all the stories about installment and learning curve seems overwhelming. So most of us just planned to wait until the hard-die Linux users and developers has ironed out most of the hindrances.

The last hot news here today is that you maybe you don't have to wait much longer - as there is a new Linux version out in it's last beta (test) version. This is WinLinux 2000 - and the difference with this version of Linux is that you can install it like any other program on top of your Window platform. No hard disk partition needed, no difficult installation needed - in short most of the hindrances facing such a venture before seems to be gone.

The download is a bit more than 140 Mb though - but is you have a download program as NetVampire or Go!zilla, the download links give you a resumable download (meaning you can stop the download as often you want and resume when you want from where you ended last time).
