SO WE GO PIZZA!


Travel on land needs horse, camel, car feet or thumb. Travel on water demands a KonTiki raft, ship or swimming suit. Air needs airplane, helicopter or a goose. Travel on net call for an Internet connected computer with suitable programs...

We are used to making a personal choice among possible options for land, water or air - but many just get a package by a supplier for their travel on Net! If you only got a PC & Net Charter package, this can turn out to be nothing less than taking the chance of ordering blindfolded - and getting a Pizza with anchovy. But what if the taste you hate the most, happens to be anchovy?

PIZZA IN SPACE

Pizza - the only hot sandwich considered to be a full dinner... The sole "basic" for Pizza is bread - even seen pizza without tomatoes or cheese (somebody allergic you know) - still it's a pizza...

Net Tools for travel agents / tour operators is like a Pizza. If we call the hardware for "bread" (there is much more to hardware - but for the sake of it...), programs / software is what we put on top - connect with Internet and voila - "Pizza in Space."

What about Travel offices - do all travel agents have the same color on the wall? Do all have brown chairs and travel advisers with green eyes? If not, why should your most important tool for tomorrow, your travel pizza, have anchovy if you don't eat anchovy?

In short, the only perfect Travel Pizza (Net attached PC) is the one that YOU YOURSELF LIKE. This serial "Pizza in Space" have the intention of helping you, not to a standard solution, but to be able to choose! Starting point is to download, test, refuse or love programs. My role it to suggest what could be useful to travel professionals (as travelers) - along with telling you the secret (he he) of what I use myself and why I use it!

Remember that this is not "tech reviews" of ever ending software programs available from the net. All is written from a USER point of view, and even more specialized - a PROFESSIONAL TRAVEL USER' point of view... Not a charter tour for sheep's, but herbal suggestions for professional travel goats (- see the article "Wolves in Goat Skins" for terminology explanation).

Sounds tempting? Well then we go...starting with Plato who some 2,400 years ago who said, "THE BEGINNING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF ANY WORK"
