I have to say that out of all the live pro-wrestling events I have ever been too, by far, the independent stars put the most effort and energy into the show.
Maybe it is because in the indies, the fans actually do pay their salaries. If one fan doesn't come, than that does make a difference, money-wise, to them. Maybe it is the fact that they hope if they get a big enough fan base maybe the Big Two will notice them and pick them up and give them big money contracts. For some, all they care about is the money factor. But for the most part, the wrestlers are in the indies because they love to wrestle and will do it anywhere, anytime, anyplace. In front of 50 people or 50,000, it doesn't matter, just as long as they get to lace up the boots and go out and live out their dreams in the squared circle. It's all about the dream, not the dream about making it big and earning lots of dough, but the dream about just being able to wrestle. If you don't believe me, check out your local regional promotion some time. It may not be in the nicest buildings, or be under the best conditions, but those guys are wrestling their hearts out for you, the fans. And that's something that the Big Two wrestlers, don't do, for you guys, the fans. Go To Page: 1
