Indy Wrestling On The RiseThere is no doubt in any wrestling fan's mind that pro-wrestling is on the upswing and experiencing a golden age that it hasn't seen since the days of Hulk Hogan and the 1980s. But this sort of upswing cannot be just contained to the Big Two Federations, WWF and WCW, but can also be seen on the independent scene as well. Independent wrestling is becoming more and more popular as the days and weeks fly by. ECW is as hot as it has ever been and has moved into the venue of a possible 5 pay-per-views next year and now has the possibility of its show being run in the UK. The NWA is on the rise as well. Five of the independent promotions involved in the NWA have television shows and the rest of them are on their way to having a weekly TV show as well. Some of the NWA affiliates are not only running shows twice a week in their home venues but are now touring farther and farther away and establishing new territories all the time. The NWA Champion, Dan Severn, can be seen on WWF Televison all the time and several of the top NWA stars have had several tryout matches and dark matches in the WWF. To say wrestling is on the rise would be an understatement. And to say indy wrestling is booming would be one as well. Indy wrestling is alive and well and has never looked better. All because of the fans and wrestlers who support it and live because of it. And because of the hard work of the men behind the scenes, who have strived to bring indy wrestling back to the forefront. Indy wrestling is once again the breeding ground for tomorrow's superstars.
