Zoo Life with Jack Hanna "Hangin Out In Holland"

Did You Know? Test your wildlife wisdom. Ring-tailed lemurs use their tails as signals to let other lemurs know where they are?

If you're in Holland and you hear aloud clattering noise like a typewriter, you're probably just near some storks engaging in a courtship greeting?

Elephants are very affectionate, especially with their young? The mother constantly touches her baby and never lets it stray far.

Discover these and many other amazing animal facts as you explore the world's wildlife with Jack Hanna, Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo. Along the way, you'll also learn what's being done to preserve the animals and their habitats.

In this episode, you'll take an exciting journey to Holland for some serious monkey business. Visit a zoo where monkeys eat right out of your hand, play beside you and even fall asleep in your arms. Then, visit a Dutch couple who have transformed their home into a nestling and breeding ground for the preservation of the graceful European stork.

Later, it's on to another zoo where you can hop along with a baby impala who's just getting used to its spindly legs, help hide food for the curious baboons and tickle the tongues of a group of Asian elephants.

Get an up-close look at animals in Holland, from the elegant European stork to the exotic golden tamarins of Brazil and discover how rich and exciting our earth's wildlife really is.
