The Controversy Continues - Part 2

Reprinted with permission by Tim Wise.

Good day all, Well, this is just some "old" news ....

We have given 20/20 enough time to respond to our post (as seen below) and as of this moment, we have had no reply. I guess I'm not as good of a judge of people as I thought I was. But one thing is for sure ... we all lost on this one! Some surely more than others. By that I mean the "Macaque" owners were singled out and I have to say some of the things I have been reading lately, there are some who agree that Macaques should be singled out.I disagree 100%! Nobody should be isolated. As I see it for whatever it's worth is, united we stand and divided we fall ... that's all of us! Macaque owners, Tiger owners, Parrot owners etc. etc. The "exotic" industry is as big as the NRA but nobody wants to set aside their differences to protect our rights of ownership. If all those with exotics would unite we would see that we too would get as much "special considerations" as NRA members get.If ever there was a reason for a "CALL TO ARMS" the 20/20 show was it!!!!! But as I read the very few "proactive" replies to the issue nobody is uniting to fight this common foe! Each person is doing his or her own thing. No unity, no show of accountability to those we present our issues to ...

Not being on the "lists" anymore due to the above, I had hoped that perhaps there might be one or two out there that would have taken the lead by now to unite this industry. From all I can see there are none stepping up to the plate to take a swing so to speak. I have had some state "they" are waiting to "see" what happens "before" they respond. Others have said ... if "this person" or "that person" is involved then they are not going to get involved ... that's what I spoke of in my previous post about putting personal agenda and issues aside to address this and other issues.

This is our last on this issue unless for some reason 20/20 does reply and we will forward their reply as submitted. The e-mail address seen at the top of my post to 20/20 is for a Ms. Rhonda Schwartz, the lead producer behind the story and one of the "undercover" reporters that got Dean on tape. I guess I can say feel free to respond as you may seem fit to do as most will do it anyway.
