Each week, we receive e-mails from readers asking our opinions on every facet of rearing a child born prematurely. We enjoy reading your stories. We love sharing our experiences with you. Please continue writing to us; we want you to feel comfortable corresponding with us.
There is just one matter that we feel we should emphasize: We are not medical doctors. We are not qualified to diagnose your child or offer medical solutions. If you have questions about your child's condition, medication, treatment or prognosis, please consult his/her pediatrician. The information that we share in this column comes from research that we do on and offline. It also comes from experience. Some of it is strictly opinion. Since we have gone through the trauma of having a premature baby, we feel that we are qualified to offer you support and some information. But, we are not doctors; we are not qualified to answer medical questions. If there is a subject concerning premature birth that you would like us to research, please feel free to contact us. We will do everything in our power to help you find the information you need. Please return next week to read our article on the decision to have another child after experiencing a premature birth. Sincerely, Eric and Susan Jensen, editors Go To Page: 1
