Many people have seen the preemie pictures Anne Geddes has published in calendars and books. However moving these are, they do not accurately depict the life and growth of a premature baby. In her pictures, there are no nasal cannulas, no ng tubes, no ventilators, nothing to show the true nature of a preemie's life. That is why I am recommending a look at "Jordan's World," a personal preemie page that can be found at http://www.sfcook.home.texas.net .
It is always inspiring to read the stories of premature infants; Jordan's story is no exception. The site discusses his life from his early birth to his 32nd week. Jordan was born 15 weeks premature, weighing 1 lb. and 4 oz. At 32 weeks, he weighed 6 lbs. and 12 ounces. His story speaks of the survival and determination of a tiny baby. Although Jordan's story is interesting, it is the photographs that are incredible. Clear and detailed, they show what the life of a preemie is all about. These amazing pictures tell the story like nothing else can. Be sure to take a peek-the photographs are truly incredible. The Pooh song, which pops up at every screen, may drive you nuts, especially if you are browsing while your baby sleeps, but the site is definitely worth your attention. The photographs are awe-inspiring; I guarantee you will be saying, "Wow!" Go To Page: 1
