Try acupressure. There is a pressure point about 2 inches above the crease on the palm side of the wrist that, when pressure is applied, may relieve nausea. Sea Band is one of the manufacturers that makes a wrist-band that is available without a prescription at pharmacies and travel stores.

Vitamin B-6. Dr. Niebyl, MD of the University of Iowa, College of Medicine recommends 25 mg of vitamin B-6 every 8 hours. Take one before you get out of bed in the morning, one mid-afternoon, and one before bedtime.

Antacids. Antacids such as Tums and Rolaids may help combat heartburn and are rich in calcium.

Check with your doctor. Before taking a medication for nausea or motion sickness such as: Benadryl, Dramamine, or Antivert, check with your health care provider first.

Ginger. Ginger capsules may be helpful in reducing the nausea. Before taking, be sure to check with your health care provider.
