What is the process of conception?

Conception occurs after the ovary releases an egg. This normally happens about the middle of the cycle. In order for sperm to be present you must have had intercourse within the previous several days. The egg and sperm combine in the fallopian tube - thus conception occurs. The fertilized egg floats down the fallopian tube and within 5 to 7 days makes its way to the uterus where it implants into the uterine wall. By the time you miss your period, a home pregnancy test will reveal a positive and you will know you´re pregnant.

I have been trying to get pregnant for a year now and it is still not happpened, can you give me any tips on how to conceive?

I have a book that would be perfect for you: http://www.beyondfertility.com/conceptio... - written from my 16 months of infertility while conceiving my 3rd baby.

Is it safe to take Paxil CR (20 mg SID) during pregnancy?

I personally wouldn´t take it, however discuss it with your physician. Paxil is a fairly new drug and I´d be very cautious if taking it during pregnancy.

Is it possible to have pretty regular periods (last few have been 27-29 days), but not ovulate? I have been using ovulation predictor kits for nearly 2 months, but have never gotten a positive result. Any ideas?

Yes is it. Chart your fertility signs and you can determine if you are indeed ovulating. If you discover you aren't ovulating, you can do things to help boost your fertility naturally.

I have been on Depo Provera and has not menstruated since. I missed my last dose 4 weeks ago and am worried i might fall pregnant. I still dont see my periods. How can i be sure?

Depo Provera really messes up the reproductive cycle. I´d be surprised if you became pregnant soon. Usually it causes infertility that can last up to 18 months.

Take a pregnancy test every week just to be sure.

I combat vaginal dryness. On top of that, my OB/GYN informed me that I have a small cervix. (I assume she meant the opening was small) Will these two factors combined inhibit my chances of conceiving? I am a healthy, 31 year old and my husband and I are going to start trying in the fall. I`ve also read about the lubricant called "pre-seed". We thought we would also try that. Any help or information would be appreciated.
