Days of the New...Who?
Yeah, so Days of the New aren't the critical or commercial favorites of all-time, and they'll likely never be invited to join the Rock Hall of Fame. But post punk they are, at least in spirit. Because only a true child of the punk era could have the rocks to invent progressive grunge, and not give a damn who doesn't like it.
And that, kids, is the great thing about the world of rock and roll, post punk era. Anything goes, Jack.
