Will It Make us Pen Pals?

Portugal's peoples are spread far and wide around this globe, yet it is indeed a small, small world with the usage of the internet, email, fax, telephone and of course the good old snail mail. You will find us on every continent whether naturalized, born into our new countries from emigrated families, or just visiting. You will find us with many second languages as happens to all of us who spend enough time in another country and make it our own while still always knowing that our blood lines began in Portugal. If you are a Portuguese citizen in Portugal. If you live in a country that at one time had belonged to Portugal and still speak the language as well as your own, even if you do not consider yourself Portuguese (example: Brazilians). If you are a naturalized citizen of another country but had parents who had emigrated at one time or another, even if it was 50 years ago. If you were born in another country, but still grew up in a Portuguese home. I would like to hear from all of you and create a Pen-Pal association group. Remember, all you need is either to be Portuguese, have some Portuguese heritage, live in a Portuguese country or even in another country of Portuguese parents or just speak the language either by birth or because you learned it. Even if you do not consider yourself Portuguese by birth such as Brazilians, Timor, Macau, etc, but you still understand the language or know it, you all qualify. To make things simpler because of all the different dialects and because those in other countries may not have as strong a knowledge of the language as say someone in Portugal, I would ask that you either communicate in English or in French (which ever is your strongest second language) and just talk about what Portuguese there is in you or what you think of the Portuguese culture or how Portuguese has influenced you, your country or your up bringing either positively or negatively. In essence what is there Portuguese about you? Hope to hear from you all soon. Place your answers, comments, letters, etc in the discussion option so we can all share.
