Obviously each of us must set our own goals. For a beginner, my category five would be a very high goal - perhaps even scoring 10. This would allow smaller steps and more subdivision of the learning aims. Aim to progress one point a month so set your goals accordingly. "I need someone to do it for. I need a weekly class to make me do the work. I need to learn with other people." We all feel dispirited from time to time. Why not post a comment here and help build a self-help community to inspire and encourage other language learners. Make this the New Year we all achieve our goals.
