Portuguese for Baby Beginners


One of the best ways to start practising your new learning is to talk to children.

Firstly that allows you to practise using the familiar tu form if you come from an English-speaking background where there is only one word for you.

Secondly, children are very matter-of-fact and will tell you instantly and without embarrassment where you are making mistakes. They usually correct your grammar and pronunciation with infinite patience.

They are very close in time to having had some of the same language difficulties and love the opportunity to help.

On the net, you may not find a child to practise with but you can practise through using children's games.

Just think of the stories and poems we shall be able to discuss with the Portuguese friends we make on holiday.

Even practising maths in Portuguese can be fun on this site.

As well as Portuguese language learning and maths problems, it also contains interesting sections on the world around us.
