Every time you look at your watch, practise the number of the hour in Portuguese. This will help your number learning and make telling the time easy when we start to learn how to do it.

Intermediate learners could find it useful to focus on everyday activities.
Ask yourself what you are doing. The answer may be "I am reading."
Test yourself. Could you say this in Portuguese?
Practise changing verb tenses.
" Today I am reading a newspaper."
What did I do yesterday?
" Yesterday I read the newspaper. "

This way you will build up your own useful-to-you vocabulary.

Share your language learning tips with us by clicking on the green email envelope in this section or, better still, start a discussion we can all join.
