Various Artists - Teen Riot

Teen pop is nothing new. Before today's generation of Backstreet Boys, Britney, N-Sync, etc., there was Tiffany and Debbie Gibson. Teen Riot celebrates the teen pop stars of the 80's and early 90's, groups like New Kids on the Block, Color Me Badd, Martika, New Edition, and Menudo. This CD should be a lesson to today's teen stars. Save your money! Out of the 17 artists on Teen Riot, only a couple are still recording new material today. Teen Riot is a guilty pleasure and pleasant blast from the past.

V*Enna - Where I Wanna Be

V*Enna is teen pop with a message. The music is pure pop, sounding a lot like Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera. Instead of selling sex, Where I Wanna Be is a statement of faith, purity and hope. V*Enna is a female duo with one member from the US and one from the UK. Together their music expresses some thought provoking lyrics on top of high energy pop music. Their excellent harmonies and well written songs are just as good or better than any of the current teen pop acts. V*Enna is already very popular on the Christian music charts, and their winning combination of music and meaningful message deserves a place on the pop charts, too.
