June 2000 CD Reviews
k.d. lang - Invincible Summer Invincible Summer is a mixture of surf, samba, bossa nova and Beach Boys. The finished product even surprised lang. "I was listening to the Mamas & The Papas, surf punk and a lot of Brazilian music. It all put me in a super positive mood, says lang about the inspiration of the CD. "I really zoned in on the everyday blessings of life and, in the process, reacquired the fuel of my soul. Ann Wilson's duet with Robin Zander, "Surrender To Me", from the Tequila Sunrise soundtrack is included here, as is "The Road Home", the title track from their 1995 live acoustic CD. Ann and Nancy Wilson can be seen often on VH 1 as subjects of "Where Are They Now" and "Behind The Music." They will also be the subject of a VH1 original movie, "Heart: The Ann and Nancy Wilson Story", which will filmed later this year.
