Orange Sky Interview

How is it being in a band with your brother?

It's really been a dream. We've jammed together our whole lives. Being grown up and playing together and being in a band together is magical. You're always going to have that brotherly chemistry. We love each other and it's a great experience. Sometimes I look to the side of me on stage and see him next to me and it's surreal.

How did you get started in music?

Our aunt in Trinidad is a nun, and she taught us how to play guitar. We just took it from there. I started to listen to Black Sabbath, early Motley Crue, Judas Priest, Motorhead. A lot of our stuff started from there. We listened to a lot of reggae too, like Peter Tosh.

Do you have any goals for the band?

We all have really high goals and ideals, but we're going to take it six months at a time. It hasn't been easy so far, and we still feel very lucky to have this opportunity. We want to plant seeds, make friends, play as much as we can and make a connection and see how it goes from there.
