While you're standing in line for a seventh viewing of "The Phantom Menace", the suits in Hollywood are busy lining up their big guns for next summer's blitz of would-be blockbusters - signing stars, giving the greenlight to scripts, and staking out release dates - all the while keeping a watchful eye on the competition's line-up for next year as they jocky for position.

So while you munch down on that jumbo tub of popcorn with extra butter and wash it down with a diet coke while taking in "Wild Wild West", "Austin Powers", "Tarzan" or any of this years offerings, take a sneak-peek at what's coming-up next year at a multiplex near you....

SPACE COWBOYS - One of Hollywood's most versital stars takes to the stars in this sci-fi/adventure when Clint Eastwood teams with Tommy Lee Jones (and perhaps Sean Connery and Jack Nicholson). When NASA learns that a satellite launched in the 1960s has failed and will cause disaster when it reenters the earth's atmosphere, the decision is made to recruit the man most familiar with the old technology and send him aboard the shuttle to repair it. Eastwood's character agrees, on one condition: that his three buddies, all former test pilots who were passed-over for astronaut training in the 60s, accompany him on the mission.

WHAT LIES BENEATH - Robert Zemeckis (Forest Gump) directs this thriller staring Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer. Ford's college professor becomes entwined in a murder mystery with ghostly elements. Based on a story by Steven Spielberg.

THE PATRIOT - Director/producer team Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin make a departure from "Independence day" and "Godzilla" to take on the American Revolution. Mel Gibson stars as the "Swamp Fox", General Benjamin Martin, who worked to cut British supply lines in South Carolina. Emmerich will make use of the latest CGI digital FX for massive battle scenes in this story by "Saving Private Ryan" screenwriter Robert Rodat.

Rocky the Flying Squirrel and Bullwinkle J. Moose are living in a now desolate Frostbite Falls, barely surviving on diminishing residual checks from re-runs of their old television series.
