A Stolen Election & A President without a clear Mandate

Despite the flowery speeches of last night, I cannot help but feel that the election was stolen away from the American people by those with ill intend and malice aforethought. The elected officials in Florida let me down, the Supreme Court has lost my unwavering respect, and now we all must stomach four years of conservative dogma in Washington, the effects of which will be felt nationwide, and whose legacy will haunt the nation for the next generation. Mr. Bush says he wants to represent the interests of all people, but how can he when his beliefs and agenda differ so much from mine and millions more like me who did not vote for him?

Mr. Bush is not now, nor will he ever be half the man Al Gore is, and because of that he will have to work very, very hard to win my respect. Who am I you ask that he should have to prove himself to me? I am one of The People, and he like everyone in government, serves me! So Mr. Bush, prove that you can lead ALL of The People and not just those who interests are in the minority according to the popular vote. Prove that you are a man of your word and not just a talking head doing the bidding of those special interests whose only concern is the making of money to the ill of all else. Prove that you are not just some average lay- about born with a silver spoon in his mouth who heretofore has glided through life without direction or purpose.

Prove yourself worthy of respect and my respect you will earn! Right now all you and your Party have is my scorn, bitterness, mistrust, and disgust.
