Look through all the different categories of writings. Consider writing something yourself and then submitting to Van Waffle or Carol Wallace for posting in the event yourself. Take a look at all the links they offer to the discussion boards and everything at Suite101. Connect with people there somehow. 3) Surf thru to TeacherVision
and look at their lesson plans for addressing the events of September 11th
and the aftermath. If you homeschool, use the plans with your kids. If your
kids go to school outside the home, offer copies of the plans to the teachers
at your kids' school. Talk with your kids and see if they might be interested
in doing some of it on their own, just because they want to. TeacherVision offers
some interesting ideas for creative healing, so check it out. See what might
work for you and your family. 4) Consider putting out a call in your community for people who have written about these events. See if you can meet for free at the local library in a conference room or maybe at a local coffeehouse. Ask people to come and read what they've written. Be sure to set up at the beginning of the meeting that this is not a critique group-- this isn't about trying to "write a better piece" but rather about sharing. Ask people to respond with comments about what their emotional reactions are or to talk about what came up for them as they listened. Try to start a helpful and healing conversation -- or skip the conversation altogether till
