Flagging the best 4th of July Sites© Arden Davidson
It's almost time for the last July 4th of this millenium, which means the United States of America is celebrating its 223rd birthday.
Of course, even in 1776, writers such as Thomas Jefferson were concerned with perfecting their art. Thomas Jefferson was chosen to write the first draft of the Declaration of Independence and it wasn't until a host of revisions were made that it was finally presented to the Congress. Well, in the spirit of the upcoming holiday, I have located some great sites on the web which offer patriotic poetry, games and activities for kids. One place that's helping kids celebrate the 4th is Kids Domain at http://www.kidsdomain.com/holiday/july4/.... They offer 4th of July activities, clipart, music, history and a whole lot more. Amon Party Collections for Children at http://hometown.aol.com/KidFun101/KidsPa... offers a free downloadable 50 state word search, songs, party ideas and other activities relating to the upcoming holiday. For some patriotic poetry, check out Stars, Stripes and Alphabet Soup at http://www.geocities.com/~alphabetsoup/j... This site also includes links to other 4th of July related sites. And the popular "Billy Bear" site has a special 4th of July section at http://www.billybear4kids.com/holidays/j... This special holiday site includes a free "fireworks show" (java enhanced), free Independence Day wallpaper, clipart, games...all kinds of fun stuff! So if your holiday needs a little "fireworks," be sure to check out the sites I've suggested. After all, trying to find quality places for kids on the Web is no picnic! Go To Page: 1
