I'm so happy today
As I've gone on a lark. My father just took me To the amusement park! Look at all of the balloons Of red, and blue And purple and brown; Look at the great many lights! So much to see- Listen to the sound! "Here comes the giant brass band!" Calls my father as we stand. They are with the parade That stretches across the land. I love all the bright streamers And cartoon characters in it. And the giraffes and lemurs- Not too close- you might get bit! Flying overhead Is a plane with a banner. Here's what it said: "See horses at the manor!" "What do you want to have to eat?" Asks my dad as we find a seat. "Cotton candy-- That's such a treat! So tasty that it can't be beat!" He returns with my candy And an ice cream cone stacked to the sky "Is there a napkin handy? Cause after this I will have some pie!" After we're done eating, I bolt up to run. Sitting is so fleeting- So much to be done! Wow, look at that rocket As it blasts off into outer space! I must be sure to dock it; "C'mon Dad! I will run you a race!" The attendant takes our ticket; I'm just tall enough to ride! I bolt over to the cockpit My father sits by my side. I land the craft safely and well As the other rockets slow down. My flight ended after the bell, Sounded by the colorful clown. "I feel a little sick," says my dad "Let's start walking back home." "Aw come on, It can't really be bad!" I say as I do roam. Oh well, that's okay: Look at what a day! All day did I play! "We'll come back!" I say. Go To Page: 1
