Mission Statement:

"AugustCutter.com's mission is to be nothing less than the premier journal of emerging writers on the internet. We strive to be the most reader-friendly literature site on the web, with a clear, simple design that encourages visitors to read each issue in its entirety. Each issue will be limited to four to five writers only. We seek to publish work that is aesthetically, intellectually, and emotionally fulfilling and challenging. We promise to keep the party rocking till the broad daylight. "..... from the site.

Submissions:

AugustCutter.com  welcomes unsolicited submissions. They publish only four to five authors per issue and are accepting electronic submissions only.  Larger pieces of poetry and fiction may be attached as a printable file.

AugustCutter is presently publishing fine quality literary fiction but do not accept sci-fi, fantasy or horror.   They do publish poetry of good quality and are very particular about what they publish as the fine quality of work found on their site attests to.  AugustCutter also publishes and accepts Humour pieces in any form including flash animations.  They do not, however, want the standard internet type of humour that can be found in most mail boxes or personal web sites.  They are looking for someone with an extremely sophisticated sense of humor.

AugustCutter has an excellent submissions gudeline page as well as an Advice for New Writers page.  Check out their guidelines before submitting.  http://www.augustcutter.com/submissions....

In my opinion:

I found August Cutter to be a nice, tidy zine that was entertaining, enlightening, easy to navigate and certainly easy to read.  I would highly recommend it to all.  http://www.augustcutter.com
