Able Muse

Able Muse is not only a feast for the soul, it is also a pretty cool piece of eye candy as well. From the opening flash presentation through to the closing credits, Able Muse is a top quality, A+ site to visit. The poetry, photography and art are truly exceptional. I spent over and hour just browsing the site and then got down to the business of reading. Plan on bringing your coffee and a snack with you. Able Muse is not the kind of site that you just skim through. You want to really get down to the meat and read through everything at least once. It is worthy of a bookmark and many return visits.

Submissions:

Able Muse accepts poetry all year round but publishes on a quarterly basis. They are a not-for-profit publication and do not pay their submitters. This is great place to get exposure for your work and the right for you to claim a publishing credit. Any accepted work of poetry, fiction, nonfiction or art will be targeted to the appropriate forthcoming issue. Able Muse accepts only previously unpublished poems and do not want simultaneous submissions. They publish both established artists are well as the novice. From the Editor of Able Muse:

Able Muse has been featuring the best poetry, writing and art available anywhere since our premiere issue first hit the cyberstands in 1999. These have been always complemented by a pleasing, state of the art presentation that has become as popular as the content. We have continued to spotlight metrical poetry, but progressively branched out with each new issue to the point where Able Muse has become a full-featured journal of poetry, fiction, nonfiction and art. Our popular online literary workshop, Eratosphere, known for its metrical poetry and discussion forums, now features an accomplished free verse section as well. Eratosphere boasts the most distinguished and accomplished cast of moderators anywhere, who attend as diligently to the absolute beginner as they do for the established author. We are grateful for all the critical acclaim and awards bestowed on Able Muse.

About the Editor:

Alex Pepple lives in Cupertino, California -- the heart of Silicon Valley -- where he has mastered the art of poking an old, stuck mouse back to life, especially, on that critical save operation of the fleeting poem. His poems and stories have been published in numerous online and print journals.
