The Dark Side of Physical Therapy - A Tale from the Cryptcured, not improved in any way, and mentally very distressed by the treatment received under the department head and Gaylord. The final report on the patient stated that she could work three days a week for four hours each day. Further - that the patient "never complained of pain nor displayed any symptom of being in pain during the therapy". This statement is patently false - for I have witnessed to the contrary and often questioned the assistant therapist regarding the treatment of patients with RSD and asked, "how many RSD patients have been cured by means of this particular Work Hardening program". Of course, there was no definitive answer forthcoming. For there seems to be no record of any RSD patient ever having been cured by means of aggressive therapy. Some questions for the abusive therapist These questions are based upon both reported and direct observation of the therapist(s) who were assigned to this particular patient.
Conclusion It is inconceivable to this author that a person in such a position of responsibility at a prestigious hospital such as Gaylord could commit this kind of cruelty and be so prejudiced towards a patient. Are there two departments at Gaylord? One for the kind and gentle care of patients that are insured by conventional means; and another department for those covered by WC? Thus - my admonition to the patient: If you are covered under WC, then document all actions, therapies, medications, etc. And when being treated - take a witness to observe the treatment and the interaction between the patient and the therapist. I wish you good luck and be wary of all that is said to you and think twice before you say or sign anything - for it will be used against you. For all is driven by money
