Is it not strange that most pharmaceutical manufacturers include NSAIDs in their pain medications? What is the strategy here? Perhaps they are not aware of the effect of NSAIDs on the human body.

Thus - to begin treatment of the neuropathic diseases - is to plan a sound campaign. First and foremost - to adequately treat the pain. Then, to treat the disease. Most doctors will be of little help in the treatment of the disease. This task will lie largely in your hands. This is the most difficult aspect of treatment for the neuropathies. You will be totally on your own. Unless - you find one of the very rare doctors that are actually knowledgeable.

THE REST OF IT

The rest of your treatment strategy must include - proper diet, vitamins, supplements, physical therapy, exercise, aerobic breathing, mental exercises and many similar strategies. The idea is to reduce stress - which exacerbates neuropathic pain. In my past articles - there is much detail of these programs and strategies.

CONCLUSION

Thus - take control from day one. Your doctor is going to wimp out on you. Be prepared. For whatever reason - it is often the case. And instead of fruitless pursuit of ineffective doctors - educate yourself - join a support group. And educate your family. For in the end - they must become the source of your immediate support.
