Non-Traditional Script MarketingOne idea I've thought about but not acted upon would include animation software, where an entire script would be animated, sort of like a cartoon, and then offered to people to watch. I've seen playwrights send out hundreds of post cards advertising their scripts to publishers and theaters. I'm not sure how effective that's been. I tried something similar with a different type of writing, but didn't have much of a response. I've also seen faxes used for all types of advertising. To the right market, it could be possible to fax a script query. So, while traditional methods are still used, and used successfully, the possibilities for using slightly (or vastly) different approaches are there, limited only by writers' imaginations.
