There seems to be more and more evidence each and every day linking the healing power of the mind with our bodies. Prayer, or let's say, "meditation" of any sort seems to have a sincere calming effect on us, which in turn can help us cope with our everyday stressors.
There are fitness experts now that take this even further, and can actually tell you which parts of your muscles and bodies are responsible, or "connected" to what parts of your everyday living. In other words psychology and physiology are connected! This seems to really be a great thing to do an in-depth study on, especially for those who design workouts for clients. Knowing this can help physically, but connecting them "psychologically" gives the fitness expert an edge on helping their clients maintain physical and "mental" health. Take a look at the mind-body connections at this site: http://www.findarticles.com/cf_0/m0BTW/5... There are some pretty in-depth articles here, and all the articles are taken from a great number of sources that are listed for you. Another site that I enjoy visiting often is: http://www.healthscout.com/cgi-bin/WebOb... I get a daily e-mail containing saftey alerts, and there are always some really great health and fitness articles, along with mental health articles contained in it. And, if you're looking for "THE ULTIMATE MIND-BODY WORKOUT", Natural Health magazine online has a set of articles entitled the same...for the ultimate in health help! The site address is: http://www.findarticles.com/cf_0/m0NAH/2... So, if you're ever "determined" to find the answer to the question above, you might just notice yourself "digging your heels" into your bed while you're in what you thought was a "peaceful slumber"...sleep? heels? huh?...Visit the first site above! It explains all of this! See you next time! Ohhmmm...Ohhmmm...Ohhmmm...Ohhmmm...Ohhmmm... :)
