How important is a reference library? Every bit as important as your equipment. Think of it this way, your reference library is a tool. It is part of the equipment that you use to create better images. Start with the basics and move up from there, add books to your library that enhance your style and type of photography. For beginners or anyone wanting to brush up on the basHedgecoe'sld suggest one of John Hedgecoe's books. His books are literally encyclopedias of knowledge written in an easy to follow format. Search the Welcome page for a list of current reviews. There are also several video reviews as well. Videos are excellent to add to your library. They are like workshops in a box. They won'tre-stickableges ahighlightervable and re-stickable.A highlighter is another great tool to add to the library. Yes, we know, you were taught never to ever write in a book. Hey you own these, they are yours and you highlightern them if you wish. I find a highlighter to be an excellent tool to mark info that I want to find quickly. Even if you just highlight the entry in the table of contents or index. I tend to use different colors for different types
