June is almost synonymous to Wedding


If you are pear-shaped –small on top and bigger on the bottom, you may want to look flattering with your smaller busts but play down with your hips and buttocks. To do this you got plenty of choices --square necklines, spaghetti strap, halter and off-the-shoulder styles. For a skirt you may get an A-line or empire waistline—both styles de-emphasize the hips and make you look more slender. Stay away from sheaths and other cuts that hit the hip level. Instead, you may get a princess seam because this design creates vertical lines that slenderize the hips.

If you're full on top and small on the bottom, pick a dress that shows off your narrow hips like a basque waistline, a dress with a dropped "u" or "v" shape at the waist. Or you may get one with a belt, which will also define a waistline and compliment your hips.

Scoop, square and sweetheart necklines flatter large busts and will make your neck look longer and slimmer. An off-the-shoulder dress will also work for bustier bride, but a spaghetti strap is less flattering, same with low V-neck styles.

If you're short, a sheath is best for you because it will make you look taller. If you are petite, an A-line, sheath and empire designs will make your legs look longer.

The Right Fabric and the details

After choosing the right style, you need to put same attention to the type of fabric. The type of fabric affects the overall size of the gown, which should be proportionate to your size. If you're small, choose a gown made of lightweight raw silk or taffeta or lightweight satin. These fabrics come in different varieties; you may pick your choice depending on your budget. Light-weight fabrics is also advisable for the big brides because of the simple rule --if it's big and heavy, it will make you look bigger and heavier.

The train is also a main concern. You may pick a short train (flows 4 ½ feet from the waist) or a grand cathedral train (the longest you want) –depends on its balance with the skirt of your gown and the type of wedding you chose. Basically, the less formal the wedding is, the shorter the train.
