Note: This article marks my first anniversary on Suite101.com (after the Phil Mickelson piece which was part of my Contributing Editor application), and I am as surprised as anyone that I am still around.
I thank Suite’s management team for giving me this opportunity. My special thanks goes out to Philip Northeast, who, for no other reason than that he is my Managing Editor, has to read my awful stuff every week. It probably doesn’t help that I have yet to miss a week since I began.
I would also like to thank Jill Florio, our Sports & Recreation Community Manager who has been promoting my page on the community page. I haven’t done as much as I should for our community section, but I promise I will be more active in the future.
And finally, sincere thanks to all my readers who do immeasurable service to my shaky ego.
It’s been a great ride so far, and I hope to keep it going.
