The Amazing Sea-Monkeys®

If you were thinking of getting a goldfish as a pet, maybe you should try Sea-Monkeys®. Just like goldfish, they are kept in a goldfish bowl or a small aquarium. What makes them different is you buy them in a package and you hatch them. When you buy a kit, you get special water treatment powder in one package and the eggs in another package. The eggs are actually brine shrimp that have been sleeping inside a hard shell. They are in a special powder, just like being stored in a time capsule.

When you add the eggs to the water, you will start to see little white dots instantly. These are the live babies hatching! In a few days, the little dots start to get bigger and you can see them better. It doesn't take long until you can see these fascinating creatures all grown up.

There is special food you must feed the Sea-Monkeys®. Do not use ordinary fish food. There is special food for the babies and then you switch to a different food 4 days later when they are grown up. When they become adults, you will see a dark line on their bodies. If you are feeding them properly, you will be able to see this dark line at all times.

When you buy the kits, you will get all of the special powders and food. You will also receive the measuring spoons so you will not make a mistake. If you feed them too much, they will get sick. Not only is it fascinating to see the eggs hatch and grow, you will spend many hours watching the adults swim and play in the water!

The people who sell Sea-Monkeys® have many different and interesting tanks for you to choose from. You can buy anything from a space capsule to a magic castle. The kits all come with special powders and a pump for your tank.

Kits are available through our sponsors.
