To Breed or Not To Breed?


for the female, as you can breed from a male at a fairly old age. He can write his own history before you breed him, so choose a very healthy guy who lives to be two or more, and you won't need to dig too far into his history. Of course, knowing all the details about his parents won't hurt, either!

  • Confirmation: A well-shaped, wide head with a well-muscled body. He should be bigger than the female and have a good, solid, attractive appearance.

  • Temperament: Laid-back, calm guys are the best. Again, watch out for nervous, aggressive rats. Aggressive males are becoming way too common in the pet population, so don't pass it on by breeding an aggressive guy!
