In these days of web publishing, practically anyone can start a comic strip about anything. Fortunately for us, lots of people out there just love ratties! So here's a look at some of the latest and greatest rat cartoon stars. This ain't the Sunday morning funnies any more - thank goodness!

This celebrity hunk of ratdom is a rock-climbing maniac with muscles. Bring your energy bars, Jell-O, guacamole and tuna, and get set to climb the walls! Ricky Rock Rat should be a big hit with girlie rats everywhere. Check out the ads Ricky's done and his line of t-shirts as well. Very cool site!

For all of you rabid Mac people out there, this one's for you! Fitzpatrick and his sidekick Aristotle the computer bug have just returned from a 6-month vacation and are back to work on their Macs and getting a whole lot of digs in at Microsoft while they're at it. This is one cute strip, with one cute rattie star (but where are his ears?). Watch out for Easter eggs and dodge that flying spam!

This kinda ugly little rat dude from the Tucson Weekly delivers witty social commentary while traveling through what could be your neighborhood. From Wal-Mart to the video store to the corner bar, keep an eye out for this little guy! Some of the strips are Tuscon-related, but most of them could apply anywhere. One of my favorite quotes: "It's precisely because my moral standards are so lofty that I don't even attempt to meet them."

Enter the world of the One True Rat, also known as Mr. Earlong Scato Sharptooth Ebenezer S. (Mr. S for short). This is one sick, twisted hairless rat with dreams of world domination and a craving to be human. As he says, "I have decided to suggest that people join me in my Hairless Rat Cult, and worship me as their leader, for I am S, the sexy and almighty, with the longest ears in the rat world, and the biggest brain in the business." This page hasn't been updated in a while, but you can peruse Mr. S's daily adventures, which date from Feb. 22 - July 23, 1998. Let's hope nothing terrible has happened to his Hairlessness and that he will resurface with even longer ears and a new plan soon! Navigation of this site is a bit difficult at first, but I'm sure you'll catch on. If you do get lost, start over here.
