Make a Good Fresh StartWhen you are attempting to make changes in your life, one of the best things you can do is to make a fresh start. Even the mere word "fresh" seems to incite an uplifting feeling of clarity and vigor. To start afresh, you need to make sure that you are indeed ready to start. A fresh start is not a way of forgetting or erasing all of your mistakes as if they'd never occurred without accepting responsibility for your actions. If you're going to make a good fresh start, you need to accept responsibility for your past actions. Accepting responsibility doesn't mean carrying around guilt, resentment, or anger. A mature way of accepting responsibility is to view your past mistakes as learning experiences, and use them as corrective prompts for future endeavors. It also includes making necessary efforts to correct mistakes when you recognize them. Making a good fresh start also requires that you settle any issues that need to be resolved. Doing so will make moving on much smoother. This might involve trying to mend a severed relationship. If you feel you should apologize to someone, do so. If you feel you deserve an apology from someone, ask for it. You might not get it, but you can at least make your fresh start knowing that you have settled the issue as best as you could. Suppose another type of issue needs to be resolved. Perhaps you need to get out of debt before you can begin saving for a major purchase (this site offers help on how to do that). Or maybe you need to purge your troubles verbally with a counselor or clergyperson before you can begin putting your belief system into practice. The point is that if you have an outstanding issue, you'll have an inconspicuous fresh start. You must do what you need to do to clear a path for yourself toward your goal. When you are ready to make a good fresh start, you'll know. Your conscience will be clear, your mind will be prepared, and your spirit will be raring to go. Good luck!
