What Did You Say?

You have had your computer for awhile and now you wonder if you will ever learn all you need to know. Doubtless most new computer owners find themselves at this point very quickly. Unlike other activities or involvements, computers require a very wide range of knowledge. Most certainly the language is different. It seems that only your brother- in-law ever really understands or can talk computer. The language is unlike any other on earth.

Well, help is on the way. We are going to give you a head start by listing the definitions of some common computer words and phrases. You will be in on the ground floor of something new, because not even that brother-in-law will likely know these.

Ram - A male goat.

Rom - Horn used in Ancient Jewish religious ceremonies.

Gig - Something used for illegal fishing.

Meg - Girl I used to know.

CTR - Code name for some spy group.

CPU - A different spy group.

Hard drive - The road to the in-laws' home.

Floppy - A beach sandal.

Mother Board - Mom's paddle.

CD - A way of saving money at a bank.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of computer words. However, if you learn what these mean you will be well on your way to impressing all your friends and coworkers with your new found knowledge.

Make it a good day!

Ross
