Have Computers Become Fashion Statements?

Many people are into making fashion statements with the various parts of their lives. Cars can be used as status symbols and car indicate where we are, or at least how we feel we are. Clothing is a means for many to show off their taste and their ability to keep up with the latest trends. Houses can proclaim our rank in the community. Now our computers can us help make these fashion statements.

Colors: Now you can get some computers in a variety of colors. These aren't your Father's colors either! You can get Teals, Pinks, Reds, and even polka dots. You can also get computers that have replaceable shells which come in different colors. I guess this makes sense, with a changeable shell you wouldn't have to buy everything new just to get a new color. The home or work place can be made so much more colorful with this type of computer.

Theme Computers: Who doesn't want to get the latest Barbie computer and matching printer? I imagine that many a Daddy or granddaddy will be making sure one of these is in his favorite young ladies' room. Some of these even come supplied with software that allow that special one to get fashion tips or to check out different hair styles. There are even Internet sites that these computers can be connected to which keep the user current on the latest with Barbie. As yet, I don't think that Ken has gotten his own unit design, but I have heard that GI Joe is on the move with his!

Sizes and shapes: With the aid of specialized computer furniture, you can change the shape and size of your computer. For quite sometime there have been different sizes of computers ( desktop, laptop, palmtop, etc ). Now the actual shape of computers can be purchased to match specialized designs. Don't think they have any bean bag ones yet, but who knows what will come?

Personal wear: For quite sometime we have had laptops and handhelds. For some these have been almost like another article of their personal clothing. Still they were just computers! Now, that has changed! You can actually look forward to have computers which you will wear. They will be powered by solar rays and body heat. I wonder what happens in the winter or when there is no sun?

I don't know where all of this is going to. My problem is just to try to get mine to turn on, and then to stay on without crashing! Come to think of it maybe some of these other things aren't so bad. If it isn't working, at least it should be good to look at!
