Kid Athletes, the 1998 VersionBefore they begin playing, they run through some warm up drills and stretch their muscles. They drink GatorAid. They don't pretend to be other athletes, like we once did. These kids believe they are superstar athletes in their own right. I'm not ready to be the parent of a superstar yet. I'm still trying to catch up with the teenager who lives in the dance studio and the boy who stares lustfully at the in-line skates at the sporting goods store.
