GETTING INVOLVED WITH OTHER MOTHERS OF TWINS

I highly recommend new MOTs join a local Mother of Twins club. Aside from the social aspects; the mom’s you’ll meet have a wealth of knowledge at their fingertips. To know a mom who has twins older than yours; to be able to ask what worked and what didn’t – these are invaluable tools.

I know some women who have been members of a MOTC for 20 years or more. This year, when my boys turned 9; I decided the club was just one more thing to take up my time. It was more important to me when the boys were little and I needed it more then. The 8 years I was a member were a very important part of my life and the friendships I made during that time I will cherish forever.

To all the New Moms of Twins, I say: “Remember, there are other mom’s who have or are going through the same thing you are. Seek them out, join their club and listen to their advice. You may or may not use it – but at least it’s there for you to hear.”
