I BETTER GET SOME EXERCISE; I STILL HAVE BABY FAT TO LOSE!Steve and I spent a lot of time before getting pregnant, while pregnant and after being pregnant – walking the mall! We used to go there in evenings after dinner – just for something to do. We went there while I was pregnant – so I would get some little bit of exercise – and now we went there with the boys – just to get out of the house and get some exercise. I also got a lot of leg toning in while rocking the boys with my legs in their car seats and bouncers. My arms, of course, got tons of exercise – lugging two boys around in their car seats. I didn’t realize how strong my arms were getting until one day at church. I was holding a car seat in each arm and someone asked me if I could lift the car seats straight up out to the sides of my body (I don’t know what this exercise would be called) and I said, “No, but I can do upright rows with them.” And I proceeded to do so and amazed all around me with my arm strength! I also found out how strong ones arms can get carrying two boys around, when I gave a cousin a hug one day and she said I about crushed her. I guess the moral of this article is – to not worry about getting back in shape after having a baby – you’ll get there eventually; just take care of your baby and enjoy it. And also, that you’ll be getting back in shape while taking care of your baby and not even know it, until you give someone a hug!!! Next month: Christmas is coming!
