DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES - LoganWow, talk about a loaded question! Do your twins have different personalities? My answer always wants to be (and I've said this before) - of course they do, they are two different people!!! But, instead, I smile, nod my head and say yes. But, I always add that their personalities are hard to describe because some things they do the same and others they do differently. Logan is and has always been a loner. When he was little, he was happy to play by himself. He would get a toy out and just start playing. He very rarely asked Alec or me or Steve to play with him. He was perfectly happy to pull all the Lego's out and build and build - all by himself. His most favorite pastime was to sit and go through catalogs. We were always happy when we would get a new catalog in the mail, because we knew it would make Logan happy. We always made sure there were a few catalogs in the car, because this would keep Logan busy for hours. Catalogs went with us everywhere - in my purse, on airplanes when we went on trips, doctor's appointments, etc. Logan still seems to be happy to just sit and read a magazine or a book or a catalog (yes he still likes them). He also is very happy to do this in a room by himself. Now you would think, because he is a loner, that he would not have many friends. That is not the case; he has more friends than we can count. And, he makes friends more easily than his brother. Logan can meet a person and know more about him in an hour, than you would think possible. Logan is a very nice young man and that is why people open up to him. Logan would go out of his way to help someone younger than him; this is the reason his friends' younger siblings like him too! This used to be a problem, because Logan would get invited to many more birthday parties than Alec; but now that doesn't seem to be a problem anymore. Logan has turned out to be a leader at school, always helping other students with their work. The teachers have even left his name for substitutes as a person they can turn to. Last year his teacher had a problem getting Logan to do all his work. We told her to tell him that she needed him to set an example for all the other students. Once she did that, he did a complete turn around and ended up being one of her best students ever. Logan has always wanted to please everyone, but he also wants to be acknowledged for doing so. Mostly Logan will do anything you ask, as long as you tell him what a great job he is doing.
