A Child Waits

I’m sure there are people who are reading this who think I’m an absolute nut case who needs to get off her soap box. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I have to state mine, no matter what the consequences. I can only pray that someone sees this beautiful baby girl waiting for a home, and feels the same kind of awe-inspiring admiration and love for her that I feel for my daughter. Every child deserves a home and children with Down Syndrome definitely need a home where they can blossom and reach their full potential. By now you must be asking if I would be willing to adopt a baby with Down Syndrome and I can honestly say, if it were financially possible, I would do it tomorrow. If I had the means, I could no sooner pass by a child with Down Syndrome waiting for adoption, than I could pass by a beautiful rose in a field. My deepest, heartfelt wish is that, someday soon, more people will feel the same way and take home their own beautiful rose to cherish for a lifetime.
