Boo Bop BeBop Bop I Love You

Periodically throughout the course of each day the doorbell rings. It could be someone visiting, in which case you can chose to invite them in or turn them away. If you ask them in, they will converse with your bebops, eat your food, use your towels, etc. Some of the visitors are less than polite - they come in and run straight for the food - but others just come in, chat for a bit, then leave. The other times the doorbell rings is to invite you to a competition. You can accept or decline each invitation. If you accept, you must chose a particular bebop to compete and chose a level for them. If you chose a level below their training level you will almost always win but the payoff will be smaller than it might have been. Chosing to enter the competition at their level makes for a fair competition that will often but not always be won with the proper cheering. You can also enter competitions above their training level which will not be won very often but pay more and will generally increase their training level. The actual competitions consist of a row of six bebops, one of yours with its name at the top and five others. Once the competition starts you tap a long button at the bottom to cheer on your player. Cheering helps immensely; with proper continual cheering a bebop will win a competition at its level of training about 80% of the time. Without cheering it will not win at all. I'm not sure how a game ends because I've played through 57 days and I'm still going strong. At this point I must admit that the game has gotten a little boring - I am basically waiting for competitions, sleeping, eating, and watching TV. All of my bebops are fully trained, or as far as they can get via purchased training tools (level 4). But it took a long time to get to that point, and the game is quite addictive and a lot of fun up until it gets repetitive (maybe around day 50 for me). Part II: Look and Feel, Performance, Intangibles In the first part of this review I talked mostly about how the game BeBop from Dejobaan Software was played. But often there is more to a game then just gameplay. I must admit that much of what makes BeBop so much fun
