Sitting in a meeting and need to draw a little diagram to make sure your notes make sense later? Just want to jot down a quick phone number? Need to quickly note an item that must be dealt with later? Rather than switching back and forth between a drawing program, MemoPad, ToDo, and AddressBook, use Diddlebug by Mitch Blevins.

Diddlebug is based on the drawing program Diddle, also by Mitch Blevins. It has all of the expected features of a graphics application including various brush sizes, shading, smear tools, shape tools, and an eraser tool. Using the basic pen, it is very easy to jot down a quick note, phone number, or simple drawing.

It is easy to create multiple pages which can be navigated through by tapping a button in the upper right corner of the screen. Simply tap on the left-most icon at the bottom of the screen. Existing pages can be deleted by tapping on the trashcan icon. The icon in the middle, a blank page, clears the current page. By default, confirmation messages are displayed before these actions occur, but they can be turned off in the Page|Preferences menu item.

Each page can have its own alarm, set by the popup window at the bottom of the screen. You can select a preset alarm time, or create your own custom time. Alarm times are set as an offset from the present time rather than as an absolute time.

I can hear you saying, okay, this sounds convenient when I'm in a rush, but all of my other phone numbers are in the AddressBook and my other ToDo items are in ToDo Plus. Even though it takes longer, I really should switch applications and enter information in its proper place. That's where IntelliBooger plugins come in.

IntelliBooger plugins allow you to transfer text and pictures to a multitude of other applications on your Palm including all of the built-in applications, Hi-Note, ActionNames, DateBk3, Diddle, ImageViewer, TinyViewer, HandBase, and others. Transferring a page is easy; simply select Page|Transfer. The bar at the bottom of the window should change to display an arrow, a small icon, and a text input field. Select the new location for your data by tapping on the icon. A list of each of the installed plugins should popup. Once a plugin is selected, its icon should appear in the bar at the bottom of the window. Type any text you want to include in the transfer into the text field, then tap the arrow to move the data. You should be moved to the selected application with the new entry selected. Note that the transfer will not proceed until some text has been entered into the text field, even though the text is ignored by TinyViewer and other image viewing programs.
