In addition to many photographs representing locations, people, and events from the history of the Sternberg family, The Sternberg Fossil Hunters also includes a genealogy of the Sternberg family. (This is especially important as the Sternbergs tended to reuse certain family names.) Maps of Kansas, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Wyoming, Southern Alberta, and Patagonia help the reader to locate where the Sternbergs were finding their fossils.

The Sternberg Fossil Hunters: A Dinosaur Dynasty is a great book for middle school students who are interested in paleontology. It is highly readable, and will hold the attention of young students.
